  • Despite Fire Island Pines attracting the queer elite, the island lacked an elevated, artful meeting point.


Strategy


  • Design and run a multifunctional retail space—shop, art gallery, and soft serve window.  

  • Spotlight and curate queer makers and artists exclusively, some local and some global.

Accomplishments 

  • Buildout - custom furniture production, drapery, signage, merchandising, vendor management, and overall project management.

  • Store management - I was the shopboy, often closing $1000k+ transactions, managing inventory, gallery installs, events, and overseeing day-to-day operations. 

  • Brand development - created brand system with graphic designer, produced best-selling merch, shopping bags, manage social presence.
